To keep Wi-Fi alive during Foma Switching you must go to Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Atheros WR6003 WLAN Adapter (under network) -> Advanced Settings

Change the Settings of Power_Save and RFKill to these:

If you set the device to any other combination other then this, it will cause the device to behave weirdly. Such things include sleeping immediately after switching back. Freezing and auto-restarting and other weird things.
